With so many of you out and about for vacation there are tons of longboards on sale. For those of you that need something to get around second to those cars that, lets be honest, are a little harsh on the wallet. Sector 9 Backlash Mini longboard

The Sector 9 Backlash mini is perfect for cruising, some carving, ramp riding, ditch slashing, and if you're brave enough even mild downhill. The Backlash is another cruiser from Sector 9 that has a short wheelbase that has a kicktail, why? Kicktails add so much agility to an already agile short wheelbased board it's stupid the Backlash even has a pretty crazy nose, which makes ollies, flips, nose manuals, and some stalls much easier than if it didn't have one.

The backlash comes complete with Sector 9 wheels, Grease Ball bearings, and Gullwing trucks. All of these are great for carving and cruising and I would only suggest changing these out if you planned on doing something outside of cruising but were really adamant about it. Although it's not really suppose to be much outside of a cruising board, it could still be set up to excel in ramp riding, ditch slashing, tech sliding, and maybe even slalom. Although I haven't ridden this one for very long (maybe a 1-2 hour sesh) I can already tell it keeps up with Sector 9's amazing standard for mini cruisers.

Sector 9 Joel Tudor mini

The Sector 9 Joel Tudor is perfect for anyone looking for an awesome cruising, ditch slashing, or even ramp board. The awesome part about the Joel tudor is it's short wheelbase making it extremely nimble which is perfect for anyone who lives in a crowded city. The Tudor also has a kicktail which makes it great for maneuvering in tight areas as well as have something to fool around an do some shuv its, flip tricks, or manuals.

The Tudor comes with gullwing trucks, Sector 9 wheels, and grease ball bearings. These are all our standard set up for cruising boards and just so happens to be great for ramps and ditch slashing as well. The only thing I would change if you're ramp riding would be getting some indepenedent trucks and some bones Park tech formulas, but even then this is just a recommendation, the normal setup will do everything you need it to and more. This is actually my favorite of the sector 9 mini's (little bias here I know) but I highly recommend it.

Sector 9 Subtraction

The Sector 9 subtraction is a great board for just kickin' it around town, especially if you live in a place that's a little busier than most. Since the subtraction not only has a kicktail, which will make it easier to maneuver through close knit and crowded cities but also has a shorter wheelbase than most longboards for nimbleness and a tighter turning radius. The subtraction is highly recommended to those that aren't looking to do anything too extravagant, such as downhill, slalom, etc. But this board is capable of carving, pool, ramp, and ditch riding if you ever want to fool around with that.

The Subtraction comes with our standard sector 9 complete setup being Grease ball bearings, sector 9 wheels, and gullwing trucks. All of these are amazing for cruising, carving, and even ditch riding. The only thing you may have a hard time doing are slides but this board isn't really built for sliding. The only other cool things I really think this board offers are a traction pad, for those who like to ride barefoot, or want to get on after a swim, or for you surfers out there, you won't have to worry about messing up your grip tape, and this board also comes with some decent wheel wells so you'll never have to worry about getting wheelbite.

Sector 9 gavin Beschen Pro

The Sector 9 Gavin Beschen is another great choice in the never ending sea of Sector 9 cruising boards. This board has a pretty awesome kicktail with a slight nose making kickturns, flip tricks, manuals, ollies, and other tricks possible as well as just having something to rest your foot against. This board is highly recommended to anyone that needs a smaller board for weaving through foot traffic or even dodging cars and making your way through tricky urban streets with lots of cracks, curbs, bumps, etc.

So this board comes with Standard Sector 9 wheels, gullwing trucks, and Grease ball bearings. These are all excellent in my opinion and for the price? Nothing beats this setup. If you're undecided on getting this board though think of all your other options and wonder are any of those choice bigger? If so, take into consideration that a bigger board is going to be more a pain to carry around, you can't stow it away as easy, it may be obstructive to people on sidewalks or in the road, the only downside to a small board when you're cruising is you can't Boardpool with your girlfriend on the front. This is a really great board though and is highly recommended, and on top of all of this boards perks, it has a dope graphic (at least in my opinion) to top it all off.

Sector 9 Quadrant Mini

The Sector 9 Quadrant is perfect for those looking for a great cruising board that can be fooled around on due to it's awesome kicktail and is highly portable and easy to stash away due to the fact that it's only 30" long. The shape and concave also make it a great ditch slashing board as you're sure not to catch a nose when dropping in to a ditch especially if it doesn't have much of a transition.

This board comes with sector 9 wheels, Grease ball bearings, and gullwing trucks. And all of these are great for whatever you could ever possibly want to do with this board. However, if you were to change anything I would suggest maybe picking up some bearings that have replaceable shields so you can clean them, as they'd last you a little longer but as far as speed goes you won't be compromising much by sticking with the Grease Balls, you'll probably just have to buy a new set in a couple of months if that. I recommend the Quadrant to anyone looking for an awesome cruising board that can be fooled around on, or for those of you who have to go through areas with heavy traffic. The shorter wheelbase on this board makes it super nimble and will help you maneuver through what ever comes your way.
